Computer Problem

It's been a week I didn't post any entry in this blog. My computer is having problem, I cannot even enter google. So I had to send my computer to the repair shop and they reformatted it. To bad, because I had so many stories to tell and the most unfortunate is all my old software is gone, all of it, my dictionary software I bought, my spss software, my mathematica sofware all cannot be saved arrrgh sob,sob. Now I have to buy it again. Hmmm. Ok now I need to calculate the cost I have to pay for my new software.

    kalo beli ori mahal la :P
    tp bg ktrg nih..software beli yg pirate je (opss mst ada yg marah.huhu). kalo dvd cerita beli ori baru berbaloi. just my piece of opinion.

    You better learn how to reformat a pc/notebook. its soooooo easy n simple.ayam je :) chaiyo!

    kalo anti-virus software...beli ori. wpun sll nya org pki avg,avast etc. tp yg free download xleh detect semua Mr VIRUS. huhu..seram kn? :P

    alamak kat manalah nak belajar reformat, ye tak ye jugak kalau belajar sendiri tak payah bayar sampai rm 80. jimat duit boleh beli barang dapur seminggu. Tak taulah mana dapat virus ni, sekarang lepas reformat pun masih mengong jugak

    i hate when that happens. the worst thing is losing our files and all the other programs. after my comp was down for the 2nd time due to virus, my hub installed norton spyware.

    Adoi..sakitnye hati! Aku ada 2 laptop dan dua2 company punye (mine and hubby's)..tu pun bila ada hardware problem dah gelabah dah..

    reformat x susah. asal ada cd windows xp & cd drivers je. kalo guna vista, lagi sng. cuba la belajar. sbb mmg berbaloi. silap2 leh wat duit lagi :)

    simpan la documents etc kat partition lain selain C. selalu virus attack C. jarang2 sekali encik virus 'mengganggu' partition D, E, F etc.

    ps: renung2 kan..dan selamat beramal :P

    mak ehh reformated charge rm80!!! Walhal senang je nak buat,klik2 je, tapi kena amik risiko ngan ambik masa je.Software beli je pirate, kecuali antivirus, tp nk mudah antivirus pun bleh pirate tp kena pandai cr installer la. Dan sume softrware tu kalau boleh jangan simpan kat drive C. Harapnya komputer dah format tu ada buat drive D, simpan benda2 penting kat drive D.Selamat utk masa depan.

    Hi Laily, actually you have not lost everything in your previous pc problems.
    Everything is still in your hard drive.
    I will tell you this....unless you have a very special, sophisticated software for erasing what you have deleted, whatever you had is still in that hard drive...
    Infact, if you know a friend who is good with computers, he or she can always extract it out.
    Oh ya, one word of warning to you...remember, when you send your pc for repairs and its an overnight job, an unscrupulous fellow can download everything from your HD to his and read or learn everything about you, any secrets etc....
    As you know, last month I bought my new Apple Imac 24, and transfered all 14 years...of stuff from my jurassic pc into an external hard drive I bought separately but together with my Apple...then I took out the old 2 HD from my old computer, took my hammer and smashed it into 2.3 million pieces.
    You can always read, when the police raid a crooks home, first thing they grab is the crooks computer. They then open it and itu la dia, habis cherita.
    Laily, go get an external HD, and save what you have now into it...program your computer to save what you do into that external HD...as a backup, and insurance incase your pc naik angin again.
    But remember...nothing is ever lost even you delete...all your emails since 2001 is still in that HD.
    But there are special programs to completely erase and wipe off from your HD. Lee
    ps, an external hard drive is quite cheap too. I bought a Maxtor 500GB and now my apple automatically saves what I do into it as backup. Get one, Laily.
